alextrek Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Hi all,This is my first post here and I hope it might be of help. First of all let me say how happy I am that Bâshrat the Sneaky recovered his work!!!I have experienced many similar situations in my job's enviroment and believe me I know that Bâshrat the Sneaky meant when he said he was frustrated. In time I have used many of the mentioned tools for recovery (and many others not mentioned here) but the only tool that I've found to be the most efficient and trustworthy for years now, is Ontrack EasyRecovery Pro (don't remember links, do a google search). The latest achivement was a FULL recovery of two 140Gb HDs a week ago with 99.999% success - We lost three files (unimportant thou). It might be a bit "slow" (it took almost an hour for every disk) but the results worth waiting. You might keep that in mind for your arsenal for any next "rainy" day.Regards,Alextrek
GreenMachine Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 ... @GreenMachine: no offense, man! It's easier when someone can help you through msn _and_ in your mother tongue Which is why visaversa was my first choice. ...But, but ... I speak Flemish! (Dutch, viseversa?): Een bintje, twee bintje, dri bintje ... (Didn't say I could spell.)Just messing with both of ya's. I was certainly not offended, and am pleased to know you got it figured out!

And what are you saying? one pint of beer, two, three? glad you weren't offended
GreenMachine Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Well, just goes to show you learn something everyday: I never thought of the translation to Pint, I just knew saying those words got me what I needed. The method that I've found that helps me most learning a language is to forget the translation aspect. If I need to know something, I always prefered it explained in it's native tongue, even if I didn't understand all the other words. I think that this had more to do with being lazy, a bad student, and hating to learn from the written word, but heh, it works for me! I also figured if a three year old could do it that way, so could I!Guess I'd better learn to order half-pints now ...

GreenMachine Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 So was I! (You didn't really think I'd drink half-pints, did you!)
