Has anyone else come across an error when using AllowedSites in winnt.sif for the IE Popup Blocker settings? Even the example provided in ref.chm also causes an invalid error during setup

[IEPopupBlocker]
   AllowedSites = www.fabrikam.com; http://www.contoso.com

I'm just hoping this is a bug in SP2 build 2162.

its either a bug, or ms will release a new set of refrence's for sp2 full?

No, haven't tested it yet. I sure would think that should be wrapped in quotes, as there is some white space in there.

Where did you get the new ref.chm: I don't see it in the SP2 Slipstreamed XPCREATION. Is there a whole new deploy.cab somewhere?

Yup, mine generates an error lin Line 47 of winnt.sif in both VMWare and live. The ref.chm that comes with SP2 does not even mention it, nor the Windows Firewall.

Hi,

the problem is, in the String are no spaces allowed

www.msfn.com;hotmail.com;cnn.com

that works

:rolleyes:

Thanks, Ziggy! I kind of suspected something like that.

On occasions where I have found errors in Microsoft documents, I "reported" it to them, and they were most gratefull. It'd be great if you tell them, and I'm sure they will update it. You could also add a pointer to this thread to help them "understand".

Again, thanks for sharing that!
