l0g01k Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 Which of the two do you guys think has the best features, lowest cpu usage, and is the best overall?
MSNwar Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 DesktopX is a complete shell enhancement that runs on top of Windows? Explorer shell. It runs on widgets and objects to enhance the desktop environment with animated icons and a host of other options.http://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/Samurize provides all the information you need about all your computers in one central location on your desktop. Skinnable and customizable, Samurize features a script and plugin system which allows you to add the information you want, when you want it.http://www.samurize.com/modules/mydownloads/l0g01k, Moving this to "Customizing Windows" where we discuss visual aspects of Windows.
SiMoNsAyS Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 i think they can not be compared because desktopx2 does many more things than samurize. thinking in features i will choose desktopx2, thinking on show system information i will choose samurize because it takes less resources.
Synapse Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 I tried samurize for about 10 minutes and was so confused i uninstalled it. Desktopx2 i've never heard of so i'll go give that a shot later today. I personally prefer CoolMon its not as fancy as samurize but sure is good with the CPU usage.CoolMon HomeCoolMon ScreenShots
Tokugawapants Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 Samurize does take a while to get used to. I admit I was pretty confused for more than 10 minutes, but you should still give it a shot. As soon as I got the hang of it I couldn't live without it. I haven't used Desktop X before, and that's because it eventually costs money
edg21 Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 Desktop X does some pretty neat looking stuff, but I personally use samurize. I just converted my g/f from desktopx to samurize... it took her awhile to get used to but she likes it better now.
