Tweaks that I can't find

Featured Replies

Anyone have those??

1. reg.tweak that sets the power function, so that the computer shuts down aut. and you don't have to push the shut down button.

2. tweak that disable the align the grid when you right click the desktop and choose arrange icons by....

3. tweak that shows all folders. (if you after installation goes to ex. controlpanel you have to click on "show whats inside this folder".

I have tryed search, but maybe my spelling is not good enough :-)

I recommend downloading regshot and using that. It makes finding registry tweaks very simple. Regshot can take a "snapshot" of the registry. So you take a snapshot, change a setting, take another snapshot, and then regshot compares them for you, giving you the differences.

"shell:SystemDriveRootFolder"=dword:00000000
"shell:Windows"=dword:00000000
"shell:System"=dword:00000000

*edited for space considerations*

I would assume that one wouldn't need both of these?

This one works for me:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\WebView\BarricadedFolders]
"shell:ControlPanelFolder"=dword:00000000
"shell:ProgramFiles"=dword:00000000
"shell:System"=dword:0000000
"shell:SystemDriveRootFolder"=dword:00000000
"shell:Windows"=dword:00000000

Note: if you want to use the Category View in Control Panel, set shell:ControlPanelFolder to 1 instead of 0.
