I have described a workaround here to solve this problem.

GreenMachine Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 Indeed: I am just straightening out current lists, before updating them in a few days. Patches are due out Tuesday.

BaTLeZone Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 Cool But I think you miss one...NDP1.1sp1-KB886903-X86.exe (aprox 1.5Meg)where does this one go?
homiebrah Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 SVC-MSX maybe? Haven't tested it out yet.
Bilou_Gateux Posted February 10, 2005 Author Posted February 10, 2005 But I think you miss one...NDP1.1sp1-KB886903-X86.exe (aprox 1.5Meg)Doing my updates step by step, i haven't included this HF for recommended updates. Starting to update 2K First, and then recommended WMP, IE6, and if i find some more time, .NET.
BaTLeZone Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 OPS sorry getting ahead of ya. I tried a run with IE6.0sp1-KB867282-Windows-2000-XP-x86 in SVC-HF1 but WU still asked for it and I did not get any errors on the install. I am going to try it in SVC-POS and get back to u.
GreenMachine Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Actually, there is a conflict between tho IE updates. I think Bilou_Gateux mentioned it earlier. The work around is to install in a specific order via SVCPACK.INF, and not slipstream the files into the installation. Fixed in the new version ...
BaTLeZone Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 yup did not work there either. I'll add it to the other 2 that I run from runonce for now...............wonders off aimlessly to do some more reading...... edited
