MSNwar Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Your Internet Explorer Security settings are set to high and are blocking downloading and running of Active-X scripts used to display parts of some web pages. You must either except these problems as a result of having your IE security settings set to high, or you must lower them somewhat (and except the possbility of browers hijackers). These setting could be cause by some "protection program" or by IE settings. Go to IE - Tools - Internet Options - Security tab - Custom Level button, Set "Download signed ActiveX controls" to Prompt if it is Disabled. Set "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" to Enabled.
XtremeMaC Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 and for the record read the ruleserror title is definitely not very explanative...
BaByDraGon Posted June 30, 2004 Author Posted June 30, 2004 Sorry about the thread title.. BTW i've done wot u've said but still get same error?
catwalker63 Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 It's possible your activeX control is unsigned, then. Be very careful when enabling download of unsigned activex controls. Personally, I wouldn't do it.
Ge0ph Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Is Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration enabled? It is by default and unless you disabled it your locked down.
