I just found out lycos now offer 1GB, with 30 free SMS and "advanced spam filters"...yeah well, they still won't convince me to join. I host with them and their servers r rubbish, always down

One Gigabyte from Google is good for me, but in the end I have 100mb from Yahoo, 1 Gigabyte from Gmail, and 2GB at Aventure. The thing is I hardly get any email in the Aventure account, I am hoping that they offer you some other kind of access with your account besides web based email. But in the end Gmail is my new favorite email, very cut and dry, and to the point. Unlike Yahoo! mail or Hotmail, which fills half the screen with ads. So in the end I think Gmail will conquer the web based email market as they do with the WWW Search Engine.

Don't you get targeted ads in Gmail? And if you have Ad-blocking software like Norton Internet Security or something installed the ads don't show anyway.

And, for those of us with yahoo mail plus and the 2GB upgrade, they now have no ads.

everybody in the email account business have got a big scare from gmail so their doing their best to keep up.. its nice to see new players entering the market to shake things up..
