WadeV1589
I searched but nothing came up about it.Also I can't find anything about setting Firefox as the default browser nor how to set DAP to be the default download accelerator (DAP isn't a valid search term). Jjazz
@big_gienot really difficult when u realize that the setup is a simple Inno package. For more information please read Tim Rude's post (he read the IS help for us ) athttp://news.jrsoftware.org/news/innosetup/msg18863.htmlHope the link works for a while !To summarize,The following information comes from the IS help:Optional Setup Command Line Parameters:/SP-Disables the This will install... Do you wish to continue? prompt at thebeginning of Setup. Of course, this will have no effect if theDisableStartupPrompt [setup]section directive was set to yes./SILENT, /VERYSILENTInstructs Setup to be silent or very silent. When Setup is silent the wizardand the background window are not displayed but the installation progresswindow is. When a setup is very silent this installation progress window isnot displayed. Everything else is normal so for example error messagesduring installation are displayed and the startup prompt is (if you haven'tdisabled it with DisableStartupPrompt or the '/SP-' command line optionexplained above)If a restart is necessary and the '/NORESTART' command isn't used (seebelow) and Setup is silent, it will display a Reboot now? messagebox. Ifit's very silent it will reboot without asking./NOCANCELPrevents the user from cancelling during the installation process, bydisabling the Cancel button and ignoring clicks on the close button. Usefulalong with /SILENT./NORESTARTInstructs Setup not to reboot even if it's necessary./LOADINF="filename"Instructs Setup to load the settings from the specified file after havingchecked the command line. This file can be prepared using the '/SAVEINF='command as explained below.Don't forget to use quotes if the filename contains spaces./SAVEINF="filename"Instructs Setup to save installation settings to the specified file.Don't forget to use quotes if the filename contains spaces./DIR="x:\dirname"Overrides the default directory name displayed on the Select DestinationDirectory wizard page. A fully qualified pathname must be specified. If the[setup] section directive DisableDirPage was set to yes, this command lineparameter is ignored./GROUP="folder name"Overrides the default folder name displayed on the Select Start Menu Folderwizard page. If the [setup] section directive DisableProgramGroupPage wasset to yes, this command line parameter is ignored./NOICONSInstructs Setup to initially disable the Don't create any icons check box onthe Select Start Menu Folder wizard page./COMPONENTS="comma separated list of component names"Overrides the default components settings. Using this command line parametercauses Setup to automatically select a custom type.---Optional Uninstaller Command Line Parameters:/SILENTWhen specified, the uninstaller will not ask the user any questions ordisplay a message stating that uninstall is complete. Shared files that areno longer in use are deleted automatically without prompting. Any criticalerror messages will still be shown on the screen.Caution: there are some bugs when you set the pathname. Depend on the Innosetup software version, it will be concatenated with the Program Files pathname likec:\Program Files\c:\whatever your path isand abort the installation.A work around is :please don't specify the drive letter and ajust your pathname with some ..\..\ like..\..\your path\you have chosen\Hope that will help.@+Jj

fillalph
I tried to use the switch /saveinf="C:\avast.inf" when I did an install, but it didn't work. I don't want all the components of Avast Pro installed (ie. only p2p, standard shield and another one).I tried to write my own inf file with the components, but it didn't work. Does anyone know what the component names are? Thanks]Bonkers[

Radimus
I use: start /wait "" AvastAV\setupeng.exe /SILENT /SP- /NORESTART
saitoh183
im using a runonceex.cmd...but that still doesnt tell me what type of installer it is... @Radimus since you used
start /wait "" AvastAV\setupeng.exe /SILENT /SP- /NORESTART
That would mean its a inno setup...so isn't my
c:\setupeng.exe /setupinf=".\avast.inf"
working?
