PID 640 or other?

Recommended Posts

I just downloaded SP2 2138 from the Microsoft Windows Update site. Can someone tell me if the PID for XP SP2 with a VLK is supposed to be XXXX-640 or 642, 645, etc. so the problem about activation doesn't occur during install.

There are many people with XP Corp that don't have any problems slipstreaming the new versions of SP2. There are some that do. It is because of the PID.

There is NO activation of XP Corp... However, SP2 won't install without a proper PID format...

At least this is how I understand it...

Anything but 640 is locked for corp as far as i can tell. This is what i posted on another forum.

Here's how to download and install one of the latest betas of xp sp2.

Removed by admin - keygen

3. Install sp2, if for some reason you can't boot back into windows try safe mode and uninstall from there.

That's what i did to install sp2 beta build 2135.

i think the PID should be between 640-300 and 640-599, i know/have some original vlks and all are between this range.

Or can anybody confirm a working key with pid in another 640 range?
