May 24, 200422 yr actually... now that i think about it i had this problem about 3 months ago.. the file just dissapeared i can't remember what i did either, i think it was when i reduced the source? i cant rememberi just started all over again but this time i didn't reduce my source at all, except for manually deleting a lot of the extra directories off the cd.... until nLite came along now I've reduced all my disks and at least 100mb saved maximum 230mb saved
May 24, 200422 yr Doesn't gosh's reducing source remove dosnet.inf, winnt32.exe, and all the other related files?
May 24, 200422 yr I'm confused, can I use svcpack.ini after reducing source with gosh's method? I dont have dosnet.inf anywhere so I dont know where to add the OptionalSrcDirs... anyone know?Maybe I misunderstand you, but give my explanation a go...1. Standard, there is NO dosnet.inf! You have to create it yourself.2. However, there IS a dosnet.IN_ ! You have to delete this one, else setup won't use yours!
May 24, 200422 yr Nope, no dosnet after goshs method is used. Read the guide man. Youre supposed to make changes to it before you reduce the size. So, add [OptionalSrcDirs] and anything else first, then reduce.
May 24, 200422 yr Correct, using my method you won't have dosnet.inf, winnt.exe and winnt32.exe. If you use my method you never need to do anything to dosnet.inf, it's not used when you boot from the XP cd.-gosh
