Kmuland Posted October 19, 2025 Posted October 19, 2025 Anyone know a commandline tool /.bat to suspend processes with comanline? or any tool to suspend several processes automatically at startup? Currently I do it manually with system explorer, but unfortunately pssuspend from sysinternals doesnot work with XP
NotHereToPlayGames Posted October 19, 2025 Posted October 19, 2025 So you want to run them first and then suspend? Why not disable them from running in the first place?
Kmuland Posted October 19, 2025 Author Posted October 19, 2025 (edited) I cannot disable them... these are esential m$ processes that load automatically at startup like winlogon, and disabling them would cause troubles Edited October 19, 2025 by Kmuland
NotHereToPlayGames Posted October 19, 2025 Posted October 19, 2025 I'll leave you to it then, I do not assist folks that feel the need to spell Microsoft in that manner. "To each their own."
Kmuland Posted October 19, 2025 Author Posted October 19, 2025 Solved----> Sysinternals pssuspend 1.7.0.0 is working perfectly in XP Thank you :-) 1

NotHereToPlayGames Posted October 20, 2025 Posted October 20, 2025 You have (intentionally) MISSED THE POINT. People that post Windows-related questions are HYPOCRITES when they use DEROGATORY abbreviations tied to WINDOWS. It's an ENTIRELY different story if a LINUX user is posting LINUX questions and use the same DEROGATORY abbreviations - at least they PUT THEIR MONEY WHERE THEIR MOUTH IS. Besides, it does NOT take a "capitalist" to be SMART ENOUGH to know that MS = Morgan Stanley and MSFT = Microsoft. Case closed.
modnar Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 Not really; Windows is really all we have (that is really useful, no matter poorly made), so no hypocrisy here. And O.P. hasn't written MS but M$ and _that makes all the difference.
