Zevgor Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Hello, I was wondering if I could ask for some help or if I've encountered a bug with StartAllBack. I have just installed StartAllBack and purchased a license key today. Currently, I have set up Windows to show the Tasbkar on All Monitors (I have 2). With Windows set to 'When using multiple displays, show my taskbar apps on' and then 'Taskbar where window is open', it appears as though now my second monitor's taskbar is no longer showing any Taskbar buttons. When I disable StartAllBack, they show back up. However, I could not find any settings within StartAllBack that would cause them to hide. Is it possible I'm not understanding a setting, or missing something? More than happy to provide any diagnostics that may be needed as well. Attached is a screenshot showing an open Edge window, but the Taskbar having no icons for Edge (or other open applicaitons, just Task View button which is enabled).
Zevgor Posted December 15, 2024 Author Posted December 15, 2024 Just wanted to bump this and see if anyone had any thoughts. I've played with this a bit the past week but can not seem to get it to fix. When I toggle the taskbar enhancement off and then back on, it turns on with them showing very briefly before they move away.
Tihiy Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Try disabling virtual desktop filter: System - Multitasking - Desktops - On the taskbar, show all the open windows - On all desktops
Zevgor Posted December 16, 2024 Author Posted December 16, 2024 I just tried turning this setting on and rebooting, but no luck. It does work for the main taskbar though. For reference as well, I am running: Windows 11, Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.2605)
Nicola Farina Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 Seems related to: I solved resizing affected windows and moving them between monitors. I suppose there's something related to multi monitor layout changes issue:
Zevgor Posted December 27, 2024 Author Posted December 27, 2024 I was fiddling with this some more, and wanted to post what this looks like. When I toggle the task bar off, then back on, it actually works for a brief time. Then, the taskbar icons go away. I've attached an animated .gif of a screen recording I took showing this - it's me turning the taskbar back on, waiting then showing the taskbar icons dissapearing (about 12-14 seconds later).
