StableDiffusion on a GTX 1050?

Hello MSFN,

I have a laptop, an Acer Nitro 5. This laptop came with a GTX 1050 but stablediffusion does not find a compatible GPU with the program. I find this quite irritating because almost 1000 USD was spent to obtain this device a few years back. If there are any known workarounds or suggestions, please discuss!

GTX 1050 from 2016 may be too old for such specific software released in 2022. Besides, in laptops they make simplified/reduced GPU units, so it's on par only with the desktop 2GB GT1030, at best.

From what I read elsewhere, RTX2060 seems to be the bare minimum for that software.

Of course we would like to try it regardless and help you! So attach screenshots and the exact error message.
