Jaguarek62
Please help me with this very weird issue. After the newest vmware update (16.2.0) no 3d support is available. https://prnt.sc/1whuvv7 any hints why that is? Thanks Edit: My specs: Ryzen 5 3600 32GB DDR4 GTX 1650 Super 472.12 driver Edited October 17, 2021 by Jaguarek62

My company is actually paid subscriber of VMware products. We get these for free, but they do still pay for them. Windows 8.1 is officially supported so why does it not work? I downgraded my VMware for now, but that’s not the solution I feel satisfied with.

ppgrainbow
Are you trying to run Windows 8.1 on the guest or host PC and what version of DirectX does your graphics card support?

I'm afraid you're wrong . It's 11.0 only https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-gt-710.c1990
ppgrainbow
Thank you for telling me. Ifound that even if the MSI GeForce GT 710, the graphics card supports level 11_0 only which unfortunately can be problematic for software titles that require either DirectX 11.1 or DirectX 12. You're welcome ! I was in a similar position with my old GTX 780 . Even though it had B1 revision chip (that supposed to support 11.1, like on the Ti version) , Nvidia simply blocked 11.1 to meet the specs of the original GTX 780 ! What a surprise !)))) In my experience, it's very hard to find an 11.1 card in the 700 series . Titan has only 11.0 . Only the 780 "Ti" supposed to have it .
