Bug: Metro apps do not show up on the recently opened programs list on the start menu.

Using windows 11 25H2

I installed the October 2025 update yesterday, and StartAllBack now has a weird problem – taskbar on secondary monitors isn't hiding, and it's also transparent:

If I disable and reenable auto-hiding, the problem goes away until my monitors go to sleep (which causes the primary monitor to disconnect), then the problem reappears.

UWP Metro cr-apps are a bastardization of computing, so that's a feature, not a bug.

They never will, because legacy start menus were not designed with Metro apps in mind, because they were not existing back then. Windows 8 was the first one to support that afaik, and SAB does not use it as its base for the SAB Start Menu if I'm not mistaken.

I have this problem on both of my computers now. Might be related either to high contrast or high-DPI mode (or both, both machines are set up very similarly, with 3 displays, centre being primary).

Also having this on both home and work machines with KB5065789 installed, the supposed fix in 3.5.16 seems to have only partially addressed it; the partial fix stopped it from happening permanently no matter how many monitors you had plugged in, but my 2nd/non-primary monitor always has the transparent taskbar until I hide then rehide again. Would love to provide any logs/dumps or test fixes if possible!

Yes, I had to figure this out on my PC recently also, as a taskbar on one of my monitors stopped hiding. Are you by chance also running DisplayFusion, like I am ?
