Why don't you install netframework 4.6 or 4.6.1 (this one can be installed even if on the download page says minimum req is windows 7) even 4.7.2 works if you extract the installer with winrar or 7zip and run netfx_Full_x64.msi (for 64 bit systems) or netfx_Full_x86.msi (for 32 bit /x86 systems) 2. Running sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt might be a good idea, especially if your Vista was restored from an old factory image. Platform Update components would not be applicable if you are not running SP2, or if they were already installed. (If you have installed IE9, then you should have KB971512 and KB2117917.) Regarding “net framework 4.5,” are you referring to KB2901983?
