I'm running StartIsBack++ 2.8.5. The Start menu only contains "Start screen" and none of the recent or pinned items.  See screenshot below. Any ideas?

I find it best to just use SiB++ to skin the taskbar.  I enjoy the Windows 10 Start Menu.

Did you turn off Let Windows track app launches to improve Start and search results in Settings app->Privacy->General? It's needed for recent items to appear. It shouldn't have any effect on pinned items though... Either way, I recommend updating to the latest version of StartisBack++.
