Outer Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 hi I am a beta tester in the Microsoft command shell Preview and in order to install it under windows xp you need to have .net framework 2.0 installed. I want to add it in my dvd using XPCreate. The name of the file is the same dotnetfx.exe and i assumed that in the X2M directory would work. Well here is what happened XPCreate finished the creation of the iso then i runned it on vmware and the result was .net framework was not installed any suggestions? thanks in advance
GreenMachine Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 @Outer: As suggested. post your log file. Also, a link for Dot Net Framework V2 would save me looking, and then I can test it myself.
XtremeMaC Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 gm I think it would help u if put something on the website or the thread telling ppl to attach their logs when asking a specific question or something?
Outer Posted April 11, 2004 Author Posted April 11, 2004 (edited) there is no direct link for the net framework you must be a beta tester sorry XPCREATE.LOG Edited April 11, 2004 by Outer
GreenMachine Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 Beta software = you are on your own.Looking at your log files suggests that the hotfixes were not slipstreamed. Something went wrong. You could start with the list on the web site, create a working XP distribution CD, and then make changes one at a time, until you find the one in error.
Outer Posted April 14, 2004 Author Posted April 14, 2004 after 15 installations on vmware net framework 2.0 has been succesfully installed
likuidkewl Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 after 15 installations on vmware net framework 2.0 has been succesfully installed If you don't mind was it an issue of the order of hotfix's or something else?
