I had noticed it was off and figured the switch had gotten stepped on but that was not the case. as you can see the electric circuitry had a very,very, bad day and caught on fire, also shocking me. Interestingly, it looks just dandy from the outside of the strip still. make sure to buy decent surge protectors, that might save you rather than KILL you... I had taken details pictures of the issue and sent them to the manufacturer. They thanked me for them, but IDK if they ever redesigned their product as I never bought from them again.
