April 9, 200422 yr Read through the guide;http://unattended.msfn.org/and you can skip the other stuffs that deals with OfficeXP/2003 and installing applications.
April 9, 200422 yr You mean to only to include the winnt.sif file and no other programs to install. Yes this is possible. All you have to do is delete the line under [GuiRunOnce]. I am not sure but there might be more lines to delete.
April 11, 200422 yr Author only a few questions ....1.I have the winnt.sif file... Where to put it? on the cd?2.I can't find [GuiRunOnce] in the file...And is it possible to delete only the line FullName="User" form [userData], so the setup only ask my name and then continue in the installtion?
April 11, 200422 yr Hmm,that is good idea.Even is many good things in subpage unantentad,i think someone will have to write tutorial"how to install windows with putting cd in cd-rom and go away until is finish"I remember there was i way to install 9x with specified data.

The winnt.sif should be placed in i386 directoryactually unattend.txt is renamed to winnt.sif . Other thing [GuiRunOnce]this section tells windows xp to run commands after setup is finishedto create both of these one must have Windows Deployment tools >Setupmgr.exe must be extracted from the cab file
April 12, 200422 yr to create both of these one must have Windows Deployment tools >Setupmgr.exe must be extracted from the cab file Not true. I wrote mine in Notepad. Setupmgr.exe has never seen the light of day on my PC.
April 12, 200422 yr Also do it with a floppy, can't see why burn a CD just to add winnt.sifFloppy XP Setup - Plain?
