FranceBB Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 (edited) Hi. I recently bought a new mSATA SSD but I found out that the mini PCIE port in my old Acer Aspire one (ao532h) doesn't support mSATA (even though the SSD does fit in it, 'cause mSATA and miniPCIE share the same pins - different voltages, though). My question is: does an mSATA to mini PCIE Adapter exist? And, if it does exist, is it going to work in my old, crappy, outdated Aspire One (ao532h)? Thank you in advance. jaclaz Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 You mean something *like* this?http://eshop.sintech.cn/3x5cm-msata-adapter-as-3x7cm-mini-pcie-sata-ssd-p-1036.html http://www.ebay.com/itm/SINTECH-3x5cm-mSATA-adapter-as-3x7cm-mini-PCI-e-SATA-SSD-4-ASUS-EeePC-901-900A-/321532154310 More or less it is a couple of lines exchanged and a couple capacitors. This is the "reverse" of it (just for reference):http://hackaday.com/2010/12/18/making-msata-work-with-mini-pci-express/ Should work, but no guarantee of course. jaclaz 1
