ragnargd
FYI: Windows Compatibility Center is history (for all Versions of Windows). I was just on the "community forums", to look for a reason. Let's put it like this: I think it is not good to have it dropped, as it contained valuable infos (for me, at least, and my array of old hardware). I don't value the stated reasons for their decision as very convincing. Just my 2ct. Cheers, Ragnar G.D.
Tripredacus
The main page for it just redirects to the generic Windows page. This error page shows it is temporarily unavailable. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/Error
ragnargd
At least two Microsoft representatives on the community forum answered on the question why the page is gone (more than one answer, always the same content). So it's on purpose by Microsoft. ragnargd
@Tripredacus: I did not remember correctly, and was jumping to conclusions prematurely. So I correct myself: From the "official" side, the question is ignored, and the issue as such ("Why?") is still open. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/why-has-the-ms-compatibility-center-disappeared/6722876b-f436-4b54-87e0-412255150578

Tripredacus
I never really used that site. Maybe once or twice during XP times. Wasn't that one based on user submission? Hopefully it comes back, seems like a waste if they just removed it after all the work done with it.
NoelC
They're a hardware company now. Why would they want to promote compatibility with old hardware? -Noel
