Tripredacus
Have you updated your VirtualBox version? It seems this error might have been fixed already. Lookie here: https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=62615

NoelC
Hm, I wonder if anyone's managed to install Windows 10 TP in the free VMware Player... I haven't run it that way; I have the pay-for VMware Workstation, under that it runs solidly. -Noel
GrofLuigi
Both problems seem to me like insufficient permissions during installation, resulting in incomplete install. Try installing as administrator and/or disabling UAC. The second one, corrupted download or also insufficient permissions. You can check the downloaded extension pack by unpacking it (twice!) with 7-zip. Sometimes I just overwrite the files in the installed directory with the unpacked ones and all is fine.
