When I turned on my PC today (64 bit Win 8.1 all updates, latest version of Startisback) all the programs had gone from the start menu.

 

I dragged them back in but now they all have (2) after their names. See attched screenshot.

 

I uninstalled and reinstalled startisback but it hasn't changed.

 

How can I get rid of this?

You will need to unpin all them then paste this in the address bar %AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\StartMenu and it will take you to the folder where all the pinned shortcuts are stored, remove everything in there then recreate your pinned shortcuts in the start menu.
