Avast works fine on W2k Pro; I was addressing AVG and Avira in terms of Post #1 rather than expressing any preference.  I appreciate the information you provided as very useful for the OP (or anyone else) who chooses to go with Avast.

You can still use ESET Antivirus Business Edition 4.2(Even works in NT4)
