bookie32
HI guys!I wonder if there is a simple way to move the .dbx files from a crashed computer to a new one and access these files in a newer program? I know one can install Windows Live Mail on XP and that automatically migrates the files for you and you can then export them to a new computer....BUT that is if the computer is working... I have all the files and just wondered if I can move them and give my customer a chance to access them via new software etc... bookie32
Ponch
If you have the files, then what is the problem? Is it just that you haven't tried anything yet? Outlook Express has an Import function that lets you do exactly what you ask about. It's pretty simple. It all depends on the version of the OS and of the program you want to get on with (WinXP, Win7, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Thunderbird...). You need the .wab file as well (Windows AdressBook).
