nuhi Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Nikola, hi, are you sure your WIM engine is working properly, for example can you mount the same image with let's say DISM, just to see if your Windows are not the issue here?NTLite does not use DISM for mounting.
jaclaz Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 NTLite does not use DISM for mounting.Which of course prompts for the question WHAT does it use instead? Like Wimlib, Wimgapi.dll or *something else*? jaclaz
nuhi Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 jaclaz, it's no secret, wimgapi, comes with win7+. I just suspect his is broken somehow, saw that once during (too much) removal testing. But it could be something else as well, we'll see.
NikolaS92 Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 Hi, I tried to mount image with gimagex and this error appears:
nuhi Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 NikolaS92, what is your Temp drive in NTLite - File - Settings?I mean is it pointing to a RAM drive or FAT32 volume? If it does, please try normal drive NTFS to see if that helps.
Weed Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 (edited) NikolasS92, have you installed Windows ADK ? or something related to Windows 8 which updates WIM runtimes?i had this error too, but after removing Windows ADK it works Edited September 21, 2014 by Weed
nuhi Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 (edited) Weed, that shouldn't matter, I have ADK installed as well, and I had tried NTLite on clean Windows. We may have two different issues.I think one way to get this is to have mounted one image edition, then trying to mount another from the same WIM with the previous one still mounted, if this is confirmed I will fix it.Will try myself later. nuhi Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 Ok, let's move forward then.If you run in elevated cmd "fsutil behavior query disablecompression" does it return 0 or 1?If it's 1, please check in regedit:HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Policies If NtfsDisableCompression is set to 1, try deleting it, or set to 0.Reboot, retry loading the image. 1
NikolaS92 Posted September 22, 2014 Author Posted September 22, 2014 Changing NtfsDisableCompression to 0 fixes problem, thanks.
radiku Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) Getting the same problem here. It's a Win 8.1 wim though. I'm going to uninstall ntlite do you think you can provide a link to version 1.0.0 beta build 2420? Edited February 18, 2015 by radiku
nuhi Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 tordenflesk and radiku, sorry for the delay, haven't seen this topic until now. That's interesting, I cannot replicate the issue. Please attach ntlite.log file (File-Settings-Temp) at the moment of the error. Thanks for the feedback.
nuhi Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Anyone concerned with this error, and used vLite on that machine, check here for a possible solution.
