How to add specific drivers?

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Just want to start by saying sorry if this post is out of place!

I have a few issues,

1. I'm dabbling in things I don't understand!

2. I'm blond

3. Main problem. I'm trying to set up a usb install of xp using nlite to install onto a hp mini, nm10 chipset. When I try to select the driver nlite tries to start adding everything I have on my computer. I have put the xp install files from the disk in the root of my hdd (I think) but no matter what I do it wants to grab everything. I can't find anything anywhere that any other user has had this issue so I'm putting it down to my 1st and 2nd issue. I hope this makes sence although I feel it does not.

Please help I would be eternally grateful! :)

I hope you mean "in its own folder" on the root.

like c:\nlited_XP\i386  ...etc

Also create a other folder (NOT in the \nlited_XP\ folder from my example above) for each driver you want to add, nLite grabs everything that's next to the .inf file AND subfolders.

I corrected your topic title. We do not like generic titles (see forum rules). If I did the title wrong, you can fix it yourself using the full editor.
