Unable to install win 98

Hello every one,just as I thought re-installing win98 would solve my problems, it made things worse. Now I cannot even install the OS it keeps giving me the unable to install win98 cannot find hard drive or hard drive is damaged. Although the hard drive is fine. I tried formatting the drive on another PC but no luck any help would be amazing

(sigh...) OP is unaware that "some brands" of PC BIOS uses different HDD translations than most.
