FantasyAcquiesce
Welp, I found out the weirdest thing ever: Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0.23 works on Windows ME!!! Despite not being officially supported and meant for Windows 2000 or later, it will still allow you to install it! Its good enough for Minecraft to even open and run! xD Too bad Windows 9x hardware will never be powerful enough to even get past the start menu of Minecraft! T_T Probably doesn't effect if the installation works or not; my Windows ME had all official updates via SP1 and Netframework 2 installed If I constantly maximize then minimize the Minecraft window after constantly clicking, it appears to be forcing Minecraft to progress instead of being nearly frozen!
