If l have to reinstall XP and l have a SP 3 disc, is that all l will need? Also, l had a very helpful MS tech download & save some HP drivers to my desktop, but how would l use them? Just double click? Install SP3 first? l have all of my docs & data backed up and on Chrome, but am just concerned about my HP PC crashing after 2014 when l am unable to get support.

Thanks Everyone for your help!

1 - You will need your Product Key if you don't already have it (google KeyFinder XP)

2 - If it's an HP PC with a vendor-install (i.e. you bought it new and it's SLP-oriented) see this and this

2 - Depends on how the HP Drivers are "created" - just keep them handy and offline

3 - Look here - unknown how long XP Updates will be kept on MS websites after 2014.

a - Install/reinstall XP (from the XP Install disk - OEM, Retail, whatever - upgrade is different)

b - Install Drivers

c - Install updates

d - Install (whatever)

-OR-

using nLite, slipstream the latest/last

Is this what freaked you out?
