steveothehighlander
If l have to reinstall XP and l have a SP 3 disc, is that all l will need? Also, l had a very helpful MS tech download & save some HP drivers to my desktop, but how would l use them? Just double click? Install SP3 first? l have all of my docs & data backed up and on Chrome, but am just concerned about my HP PC crashing after 2014 when l am unable to get support. Thanks Everyone for your help! submix8c
1 - You will need your Product Key if you don't already have it (google KeyFinder XP)2 - If it's an HP PC with a vendor-install (i.e. you bought it new and it's SLP-oriented) see this and this2 - Depends on how the HP Drivers are "created" - just keep them handy and offline3 - Look here - unknown how long XP Updates will be kept on MS websites after 2014.a - Install/reinstall XP (from the XP Install disk - OEM, Retail, whatever - upgrade is different)b - Install Driversc - Install updatesd - Install (whatever)-OR-using nLite, slipstream the latest/lastIs this what freaked you out?Steveo, do some browsing... Everything is already here...
