So I do what i need to do on my machine format all that good stuff then i pop it in the EEE PC then it will start till boot #2 everything goes well but then bam i get NTDLR missing, restart, and again and again. So i never get to boot into XP after it install. Im stuck on this all day n night. Any light would help me out thanks !!!
submix8c Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 ? Have you tried DBAN ("nukes" the HDD - totally clean writes zeros) then "start from scratch"? Is this an "upgrade CD or a "full" (retail, or OEM)?"NTLDR" is missing - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314057You may have more than one partition AND the Boot Loader in the MBR is probably still Linux (not sure if that would have anything to do with it?).Try getting a DBAN cd image, burn it, boot from it, and "nuke" the whole HDD (an SSD or a HDD???).ASUS EEE PC Specs - http://event.asus.com/eeepc/microsites/901_1000/en/specifications.htmlSo, which one is it? (I see no CD/DVD, but must have one - have a floppy? probably not)We need more info. BTW, I believe several other members have an EEE and may be able to help (dencorso?) more.
Killajb Posted November 20, 2011 Author Posted November 20, 2011 I got it thanks! had to do a full format to that little hdd lol
