Iwtctwbtgingmtsc Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 (edited) Yes, You can change the bootscreen in offline mode. follow this :- 1.) Customize your bootscreen in test system or vm. 2.) copy the "C:\Windows\System32\en-US\winload.exe.mui" file to some where. NOTE: C:\ is where u have installed test os 3.) Mount install.wim. 4.) Copy the custom "winload.exe.mui" to [Mount Location]\Windows\System32\en-US 5.) Unmount the image with commit command line. 6.) Enjoy ! Edited January 15, 2021 by Tripredacus

Iwtctwbtgingmtsc Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 (edited) The default animation will be changed by the method i mentioned. If You are talking abut the screen which is black and some kind of flash progress bar comes, Then you have to mount "FirstUXRes.WIM" which is located in [Mount Location]\Windows\System32\oobe, Then Edit the images and then commit it then do the steps i mentioned before. Hope you problem gets solved ! Edited January 15, 2021 by Tripredacus

Tripredacus Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 *bump*We have another section for customizing Windows:http://www.msfn.org/board/forum/40-customizing-windows/It would be a better place to ask about where the correct animation is that you are looking for, and how to put it in your install.
ibilguven Posted January 29, 2012 Author Posted January 29, 2012 I changed the animation, but when I want to replace my file with original file, I got signature problem at the begining (boot[mgr]).
cluberti Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Well, the animation is in ntoskrnl.exe, which is the OS kernel (it is also stored in other variants of this file, potentially, depending on which your machine chooses to boot). If you aren't in testsigning mode, this is very hard to work around without following the guides set forth elsewhere in the customizing Windows section. Sounds like you missed something, if you're having signature issues after modifying the kernel.
