shadoxity Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Hey everyone,I have setup a multi installer USB hard drive, it is setup as follows.partition 1 - xp install and windows 7 x86partition 2 - windows 7 x64 partition 3 - windows server 2008 x64.I have the win 7 and x86 as universal disks so you can pick the version to install.Windows 7 64 and 32bit load up fine and you can pick which OS to install.when running server 2008 setup, the options for which OS to install come up with windows 7 basic through to ultimate.I have no idea why this is happening... the ISO i used boots up normally and you can pick which server 2008 version.Any ideas?
jaclaz Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Which approach did you use in assembling the things together? Are you using grub4dos?Are you hiding "other" partitions?jaclaz
shadoxity Posted June 13, 2011 Author Posted June 13, 2011 Using grub4dos.I used winsetupfromusb beta 7Formatted the partitions and installed grub then used that to copy the relevant files over. Not hiding any partitions. the only other partition is a data one.
ilko_t Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Can you confirm that windows 7 x64 works fine from partition 2?Are all three partitions primary? Which one is active? Is there such? Can you rename ei.cfg to ei.cfg.bak in partition3\sources and try again?

Should i just leave it like that?
ilko_t Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 I'd leave it as it is since it's working alright now.
