After much searching found Win2flash http://wintoflash.com/home/en/

Has anyone tried it? Would be interested in any comments.

Am also interested in any other easy to use apps that can install WinXP from a USB.

Yes. Win2flash works fine. It is safe and easy to use. I've used it without any problem.
