bookie32 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 (edited) Hi again!I have been looking at adding sp2 to Vista to save me time on customer reinstalls. I have read a lot about the slipstreaming, but if I have understood it right - then you start with a basic install of Vista without any service packs. If that is the case - can one remove sp1 from a version in order to create the basic Vista?bookie32 Edited February 20, 2011 by bookie32
bookie32 Posted February 18, 2011 Author Posted February 18, 2011 Hi Tripredacus Oh dear....LOL Back to the drawing board with that one. Need to find a basic version without sp1 or sp2.....Saving time seems to cost me a lot lately....Thanks!bookie32
bookie32 Posted February 20, 2011 Author Posted February 20, 2011 Hi again OK! I found a basic Vista version without any service packs. I have now created a couple of DVD's with both service packs installed....Home Premium, Home Basic, and I wll create a Business version as well..I followed the advice here at TechRepublic which worked like a dream...I will in a short while return to the original slipstreaming written by FireGeier to add all the updates to my versions.....bookie32
