Windows 98/ME skin for Opera 10.50/60/70 and 11

Featured Replies

loblo,

your skin is still needed and perfect with new release Opera 10.63

Good to hear since I am not using 10.63.

I use 10.70 build 9050 and they've changed something in the layout of speed dial which makes that my skin is not displaying enough spaces between elements. I have been too busy/lazy (pick the right one) to look into it until now but I'll do eventually.

When you update your skin, pls PM or e-mail me so I can update the link at my site.

Will do but it's not going to happen anytime soon I guess since there are only a few 10.70 builds who run under 98/ME even with KernelEx.

I'll do a new skin when/if we get all 10.70/11 builds to run properly.

And of course I'll update the skin for the 10.60 builds if anyone finds issues with it (I am not using all of its many functions so I might have eventually missed/overlooked a few things).

No problem.

Just let me know when.

loblo,

Opera 11 Final is released and running fine here.

The new 'standard_skin.zip' is heavy: 1048 KB

Your skin is lacking a few elements, like for instance the arrows and other stuff to design multiple tabs, leaving a wide space instead.

Could you be kind enough to look into when possible?

Thanks. :)

Charles.

Ok, I'll have a look since 11 is now final (I am not using it myself so far) but don't expect anything before the end of the year.

Better late than never, here comes the Opera 11 skin for Windows 98/ME. :w00t:

Two (identical) versions:

Standard Skin replacement to replace the original standard skin in your opera/skin directory :

http://www.mediafire.com/?dldidaoppoywa9u

or

Optional skin to go in your profile/skin directory and to be selected through the appearance options dialog:

http://www.mediafire.com/?clxhusbwq8fctfw

Quick and dirty work using the latest barracuda release as a base so let me know if there are any issues with it..

Of course! :D

So, I have tested the 'standard_skin.zip' in main Opera\skin directory

with Opera 11.01 & with Opera 11.10 alpha (=Barracuda).

Here are a few things I have found:

1- Ugly color on the address bar beginning:

post-200646-0-74153300-1298757826_thumb.

2-Black frame remaining in Security infos (=click on left of the address bar):

and with some Extensions

(tried with Icon List by Vectronic):

HTH :)

Charles.

EDIT: you can now change the thread title to '... Opera 11' ;) .

Thanks for feedback CharlesF, this is all done along with some other minor improvements (namely changing the color of the 1 pixel borders of popups from black to grey which I think is more elegant), links in the post above updated with the newer versions.

Also updated post title and first post with all current links.
