Keyboarder
Hi all ! Here is my final project for school I made a USB key with the UBCD 5.0.0 and Windows XP Professional SP3 with WinSetupFromUSB. But my teachers asked me if I could change the SID of each computer where I installed Windows XP.I know there is "Ghost Walker" (GHSTWALK.EXE) to change the SID and I have it on a CD but I can't load it from GRUB from my USB key.Can you help me please ? ilko_t
Did deploy same image of installed Windows on many machines? Why would you need to change SID? Anyway, have a look at this article:http://blogs.technet.com/b/markrussinovich/archive/2009/11/03/3291024.aspxIf you still need NewSid and it would work for you, just google for download links, it's still available on many sites. jaclaz
I would have thought that a school project (which school?) would have been something more than putting together available apps (and EXPECIALLY COMMERCIAL ones like Ghost Walker).SID entries in the Registry are documented:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Security_Identifier...and sure you cannot load it with "GRUB", maybe you can load it with "grub4dos" by mapping a floppy image containing it and DOS. jaclaz
iamtheky
yeah other than the questionable use of ghostwalker by itself....and that your final is in mid June....2.c Requesting help with academic material, such as assignments, is not permitted on MSFN.
