MDGx Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 If you want to do this [which would make a *great* project, which I thought of years ago, but unfortunately spare time (or lack thereof) doesn't allow me to undertake this], please study 98SE2ME ReadMe:http://www.mdgx.com/9s2m/read1st.phpand 98MP10 ReadMe:http://www.mdgx.com/98mp10/98mp10.phpfor files you can use to build 98SE2XP.Besides those 2 upgrades there are tons of other files that can be added to 98SE2XP.More info:http://www.mdgx.com/add.htmhttp://www.mdgx.com/web.htmhttp://www.mdgx.com/ietoy.htmhttp://www.mdgx.com/wmp.htmhttp://www.mdgx.com/dx.htmAll these updates/files are also in SOFTWARE.TXT [single file you can "study" offline], as part of W95-11D.ZIP:http://www.mdgx.com/95.htmSuch a project comprises a tremendous amount of work and dedicated time. I took over 2 years to test 98SE2ME properly. But now things should be much easier, since a lot of our own MSFN members already tested a bunch of those files, and I'm sure they are willing to test some more. Good luck, and don't hesitate to PM me if you need more help. HTH

M()zart Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I've already used winhlp32 from WinXP with KernelEx for several weeks, I have not encountered any problems with it. It's better than Win98 one because my Win98 one didn't allow mouse wheel scrolling help topics.

woody.cool Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Sorry if my post is not of much help here, but I for one would like to see this 98SE2XP project happen.I often partake in retro gaming events and usually end up taking an old (uaully a high-ish specced Pentium 3) PC running 98SE and a load of DOS and Windows 9x games running on it. It would be great to show my fellow retro gaming/retro computing friends that there's still life in 98SE (for those mad enough to still use it on a regular basis, which I know of a few)
