the "Out of Office Assistant" option.

i don't.

when looking through the help files,it states i need Microsoft Exchange.

is this a seperate program,or is it an add in?

Out of Office Assistant only works if your mail host is using MS Exchange Server. With Exchange servers although the Out of office is set on the client computer its the Exchange server that alerts the sender that the person is out of office.

so,there is no way to auto reply to emails from my end using Outlook,with or without the server using Exchange? [/quote:240cced340]

Do you want the auto reply feature to run permanently or only when you are online?

If you only require it whilst online you can configure outlook to perform this task.You can find Instructions here;

If you want auto reply to run permamently you will need to use exchange.

Hope that helps.
