SoultakerPT Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Hello and greeting from Portugal to everyone!I'm trying to restore settings to a printer from a *.dat file using the following command:rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /Sr /n "printername" /a "datfile.dat"The error I always get is "Operation could not be completed."I believe there is something wrong with my command line but I just can't figure it out!The printer installation works fine using this method.By the way...I'm using Windows 2008 R2.Can someone please help me?Best Regards,Soultaker
cluberti Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 What kinds of settings are you trying to set with the .dat file? You might be able to achieve the same with the .vbs print configuration scripts inside the Printing_Admin_Scripts folder in the system32 directory.
