johnhc Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 vinifera, I think you would be able to fit two sets of files on one DVD but not on one CD. What is your intent? Do you want to install from one sometimes and the other at another time? I know of no way to do that. When you install Windows, you boot the CD/DVD and Windows SetUp runs, asking you questions and installing Windows. Enjoy, John.
vinifera Posted November 30, 2009 Author Posted November 30, 2009 o you want to install from one sometimes and the other at another time?yeah something like that, so i can choose if i want nlited or normal XP installi saw many people who used nLite to incorporated on DVD XP Lite HomeXP Lite ProXP Lite x64Server 2003 Liteetc...and user could on DVD boot select which version to install
johnhc Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 vinifera, I guess you need to ask those many people how they did it. I would be curious to hear. Enjoy, John.
Siginet Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 You need to use a program that will compile your iso with optimization. Basically it will make the disk look like it has many files on it but any files that are the same are only written to the toc once and pointed to multiple places.Using a method like this you can fit every different version of Windows XP on 1 CD! Windows XP PowerPacker can simplify this process for you.
jaclaz Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 vinifera, I think you would be able to fit two sets of files on one DVD but not on one CD.Are .iso hard links (duplicates-once)not working anymore? jaclaz
