November 17, 200916 yr I finally got my new workstation and it has Windows 7 installed. I remember during my pre-release training for 7, the speaker said that in 7, you can have the taskbar go the length of all the desktops. Meaning if you have 2 or more displays, the taskbar will extend. How do I enable this feature? There does not seem to be anything in the taskbar properties.
November 18, 200916 yr The speaker lied.I was on the Windows 7 TAP and requested the same feature. It was declined.
November 19, 200916 yr I wanted this, and still dont know why microsoft dont add this as a feature...I use UltraMon, not perfect, but it works to an extent to what I want.
November 19, 200916 yr I thought I remember reading that it was implemented in some where no one expected or something but I guess it didn't happen.
November 21, 200916 yr They didn't lieAt school, windows 7 was able to extend desktops easily, and then extend the taskbar to the other side, perfectly and easily. That's assuming you use nvidia and its control panel.

That's assuming you use nvidia and its control panel. That's not a function of the OS though - that's the nVidia driver. You'd have to have an nVidia video card, the control panel + driver, and then it would work. The original question was does *Windows 7* have this functionality, and the answer to that is no.
