I finally got my new workstation and it has Windows 7 installed. I remember during my pre-release training for 7, the speaker said that in 7, you can have the taskbar go the length of all the desktops. Meaning if you have 2 or more displays, the taskbar will extend.

How do I enable this feature? There does not seem to be anything in the taskbar properties.

I wanted this, and still dont know why microsoft dont add this as a feature...I use UltraMon, not perfect, but it works to an extent to what I want.

I thought I remember reading that it was implemented in some where no one expected or something but I guess it didn't happen.

They didn't lie

At school, windows 7 was able to extend desktops easily, and then extend the taskbar to the other side, perfectly and easily. That's assuming you use nvidia and its control panel.

That's not a function of the OS though - that's the nVidia driver. You'd have to have an nVidia video card, the control panel + driver, and then it would work. The original question was does *Windows 7* have this functionality, and the answer to that is no.
