Someone told me that this board tends to set voltages ridiculously high on auto settings, so it might be that. How do I figure the numbers though? There are like million different settings.

CPU is still cool btw. It's the **** board itself.

It sets the voltages a bit above the specs but that's for CPU voltage termination and chipset, nothing to worry about.

By the way, can you post a picture of the buildup set?

A little above?! I almost burned my finger briefly touching the heatsinks on the northbridge and mosfets! Ouch!

This is how it looks like (**** crappy limits on uploads, had to kill the quality):

(oh and the stuff on the CPU cooler is milk I once managed to spill on my pc, lol)

The temps on your mobo look fine and are only a few degrees higher than mine (and I live in a cold part of the world) but I have dropped the voltage on my north and southbridge by 0.1V which you could try as well. If you really want you could cable tie a small fan to the northbridge ;)

I set the temperatures in BIOS manually as suggested elsewhere, and it didn't help. I even went to default clocks and set everything to normal, that means default values. Still hot as hell! Like, wth! The mosfets aren't that much of a problem, they are supposed to be hot, plus they are right next to the Noctua blowing out, but I am worried about northbridge. that's MCH, right? I might add another Noctua to the front of the case and experiment with some intake airflow, but since it wouldn't be in line, I doubt it'd help.

You could always try taking the northbridge heatsink off then cleaning off any thermal grease and reapplying it with something like arctic silver 5. Try an intake fan as well, that would help push the air faster.

I assume the contact with the chip is pretty good, considering the extreme temperature :)

If I wasn't afraid about losing warranty, I'd grab one of those old CPU coolers I have in a bag somewhere and slap it on with some special thermal glue. But I am sane, still.

What sucks is I can't seem to remove the **** blue plates on the heatsinks. They definitely don't help the air getting inside.

In the screenshots you posted the temperatures looked fine so I do not know why the heatsink is so hot. Does your heatsinks get that hot puntoMX?

Well from what I read the sensor is somewhere around southbridge, so it doesn't say anything about NB and/or mosfets. Unfortunately.

Ah I see you have an Antec Performance chassis, which is what I have. Have you tried changing the fan speeds? They have three settings I believe. Also did you install all the fans it comes it? I haven't had any heat issues at all in mine, but then again I am using an Intel board, which isn't know for heat issues.

The FANs are terrible. On the lowest settings they do nothing and anything above, it's like an airplane taking off :D

I also managed to remove those bloody blue plates covering NB and the mosfets. It didn't help anything though.

BUT in idle, the heatsink is quite warm, not hot. When I run Prime95 though, I could fry an egg.

Anyway, my ultimate goal is to have the PC running stably at 500 FSB. Something tells me I should solve the temperature thing first, though :)

Well, that's strange indeed as my motherboard coolers stay at room temperature, but then, I use a CPU cooler that blows on top of the other components too... I can't even get my fingers warm from it... It must be the high FSB, although it will lower the CPU temperatures...

Would be interesting if you tried without the CPU fan - if it's possible at all with your CPU.

Remember that I use a FSB of 334MHz. When I set all on stock and with the fan off, CPU at full speed my CPU cooler gets too hot to touch but the motherboard components stay cool, well, about 15oC warmer but still...
