Laptop Bags/Backpacks

Hey all,

My Targus backpack recently had some of its stitching come apart near the notebook pocket and, as a result, some of the foam padding has become exposed, thus I've become a little hesitant in using it to carry around my notebook. I've contacted Targus to see if I can get it repaired or replaced (it has a lifetime warranty) but, so far, haven't received a response from them.

So, in the event that Targus completely ignores my e-mail and doesn't get back to me, I'd like to know what some of you use to carry around your notebooks, gadgets, etc. so I can go out and buy myself a new bag (preferably a backpack or messenger bag).

I like the Logitech KINETIK 15.4 Backpack, but it's a bit expensive, but so is Targus. Note that this is made out of Ballistic nylon... ahum, Ballistic, anything to sell your stuff .

mine is technically a backpack and can be carried as such but unless its empty it feels like a file cabinet with shoulderstraps.

I keep meaning to get another one but its not really a priority because this one just sits in the back of my truck and holds my laptop and misc other stuff. i rarely remove the bags because it easier to remove what i need, use it and leave the bag behind.

I've been known to carry two laptops in mine, 15" and 17" dells. And it still has room for more.

my wifes is a marlet I think. Its quite sturdy.

I quite lied, its a maxxum. you can fit two inside easy, and that front part would still expand enough to hold a small animal.

I see this one around work quite often, especially amongst the travelers. Supposedly a very good bag.

It very much depends what you expect out of a "laptop" bag. I've been known to carry my old laptop in one of these backpacks more than it's "real" backpack... I like the "kill two birds with one stone" approach, but it's not exactly lightweight, nor very small. Great for travel though.

I went down to Amherst, NY yesterday and picked up a Swiss Gear/Wenger Synergy backpack (it's no longer available in Canada)! Lovin' it!

Just adding what I use: the HP Sleeve for the HP Mini; it fits perfectly in a carry-on case.
