Folder attributes messed up

Featured Replies

I used an app to change windows explorer background and folder attributes got reset so there are no more hidden folders inside c:\windows, documents and settings etc.. Could someone post a folder listing with default folder attributes in c:\windows, C:\windows\sytem32 and c:\documents and settings.

Let me get this straight, you want someone to list every single folder within the system and profile directory structures on 'their machine' for an unspecified version of XP operating system in order for you to reproduce them on 'your machine'!!!

There are apps for folder listing which show attributes. It's XP SP3

I know how to perform such a task, that's not the point I was trying to make!

Lets take my XP SP3 system as an example:

Under %WINDIR% alone there are currently 4955 directories and you want to be provided with the folder attributes for each and every one of them so that you can individually search for each and mirror their attributes with mine!

Then you want me to give you the Documents and Settings directories which with the best will in the world will never be anything like yours!

There are different versions of XP with SP3 too

Uhhh, what "App"? Sounds like you mighta got bit, bud! Opened your PC to "now my hack can read everything"?

Just a thought...
