I got both installed and ATI driver 10.5, works fine now, but a BSOD at the shut down, probably just because of a previous nvidia driver as i wanted to use a GTS450. I'll be back if the probleme is related to the ATI Hey, I got a new problem, my driver works but, ATI tool reset my pc when opened, and catalyst software newer shown itself on my screen, even though I clicked it, just a fast little loading ring and nothing else, any idea?
ruthan Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Im trying to make some Radeons HD working. I made Radeon 3470 working fine with Black Wing cat 12.xx and last extended kernel , but i have trouble with Radeon 7350, i installed 12.xx drivers again OpenGL - Quake 3 and Unigine Heaven are running, but not DirectDraw Acceleration or Direct 3D, there is no Direct3D device present, same with DxDiag, probably problem with some registry Direct 3D device HAL definition. I have also some problem with Windows 2000 drivers in overall, for some reason when i load some drivers file i see just white area without entries where drivers should be.. and its different error than not compatible drivers where found, in that case i get popup with same error message. It seems that some drivers database or parsing is broken So i cant use Display compatible devices dialog and i can only use Search driver, point to folder and inf and let driver to be autodected, but i can force specific driver. There is also problem with Catalyst Center, old ATI installers have some standalone installer for it, but newer version have it embedded within drivers installer i failed to extract it from it. I also find out that some newer Catalyst center had less options than older version - so far im using Catalyst reporting this version 1.2.2314.20337 -from 2006, i dont remember which version its in ATI numbering.
