Hello. Update on my problem. Problem solved! I had to install windows 98 with the "install /p i" command that ignores Acpi detection/installation, this helped with all the setups I've tried to install 98 on !

I still have the issue, I flashed my bios 3 time with different versions of it, I used all the above patches, I changed my cpu for a sempron, and changed my ram stick, tried different sizes, but still.... what's the issue, cpu architecture ? The Nforce chipset locking up the windows for something. Definitely not coming from the storage controller, I've tried others ide and scsi pci card, I've tried to deactivate all the bios possible devices, but still..... I know it's far from being the right chipset to use for win 98, but that's all i could get, and it's also the right pci layout I need, the other motherboard with that layout and a chipset are either very expensive or not even possible to find.

Yeah, seems not to solve my problem still, I'll flash my BIOS then, this is probably the issue.

Well... either it doesn't work, or I'm missing something, it keeps hanging, there's no explanation on how to install it, is it just replacing HIMEM.SYS and adding commands to the config file ?

My problem is not ram related just in case, I've been through all the capacities I could, from 256 to 1gb of ram. What's your patch exactly doing ?

Hi everyone, I'm currently having issues on that same motherboard, I did installed windows 98SE, however, it hangs during windows startup. If I do want to get in, I have to do the step by step confirmation every time, is there a way to just boot as normal ? I use a 80 gb ide hdd, I also tried a sata one, but it always keeps hanging... I have an Athlon 64 3400+, I tried many others sticks of ram too

Hey, I got a new problem, my driver works but, ATI tool reset my pc when opened, and catalyst software newer shown itself on my screen, even though I clicked it, just a fast little loading ring and nothing else, any idea?

Nevermind I didn't know that internet explorer 6 sp1 was needed as well as Update Rollup 1 officiel v2. I got both installed and ATI driver 10.5, works fine now, but a BSOD at the shut down, probably just because of a previous nvidia driver as i wanted to use a GTS450. I'll be back if the probleme is related to the ATI

Hi, I'm trying to install drivers under w2k for my hd4850 bulk (1gb), however, it's a huge fail on my side. I keep having a BSOD at the windows loading. May someone who had it working tells me how ?
